I. Call to Order
Chairman Brian McBride called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

III, Welcome Visitors and Deleaations
Those in attendance were Superintendent Dr. Charles Shackett, Deputy Superintendent Marjean McConnell,
Assistant Superintendent Scott Woolstenhulme, Director of Human Resources Dr. Shalene French, Chief
Financial/Operations Officer April Burton, Director of Safe Schools, Maintenance & Operations John Pymm,
Energy Education Specialist Don Trauntvein, Community Relations and Communications Phil Campbell, Pine
Basin Director Darren Guthrie, District Receptionist Samantha Williams, and Board Clerk Mary Hansen.
IV. Approve/Amend Aqenda
Chairman McBride asked for a motion to approve the agenda.
MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to approve the Agenda. Jeff Bird seconded. The vote was 4 in favor
with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
V. Master Agreement
Chairman McBride invited Marjean McConnell to present Master Agreement for approval. Ms. McConnell
informed the Board of the recent negotiations with the Bonneville Education Association. Agreements included a
3.5% raise to the base salary for certified employees, employee benefits will be paid by the District, the teacher
evaluations will be revised, and policy will not be included in the Master Agreement.
He then asked for a motion to approve Master Agreement for 2016-2017.
MOTION: Jeff Bird made the motion approve Master Agreement for 2016-2017. Paul Jenkins seconded. The
vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
VI. Pine Basin Summer Camp
Chairman McBride invited John Pymm to discuss Pine Basin Summer Camp. Mr. Pymm informed the Board that
one-third of the bridge at the Pine Basin Summer Camp entrance cannot support traffic, is not safe, and will need
replaced, The plan for this summer is to drive a large bus two miles from the camp to a wide off-road pullout and
then shuttle the campers via a smaller bus to the campsite. Parents will be notified about the bridge and shuttle
service; the shuttle will run during daylight hours. The Forest Service will allow usage of the camp in this manner
for 2016 summer only; next year the bridge will need to be replaced. However, the Bonneville Power Association
(BPA) proposed to the Forest Service that they would replace the bridge, requesting a two-year budget plan to
accomplish the project. The BPA will face huge daily fines if they do not have access to their stations. The bridge
is also used by Idaho Fish & Game Service and the BLM. The Pine Basin Summer Camp is an important
program for the Bonneville Joint School District 93.

Hearing none, Chairman McBride then asked for a motion to adjourn at 6:40 p.m.
MOTION: Paul Jenkins made the motion to adjourn. Jeff Bird seconded. The vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed
and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
