Executive Session
October 29, 2014
11:15 a.m.
Dr. Shackett’s Office
Prior to the Work Session/Special Meeting
I. Chairperson Winchester called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m.
II. She then stated that the Board would enter into an Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345
(1)(b) To consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a
public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student. The Executive Session will
be closed to the public as permitted by law.
Chairperson Winchester then asked for a roll call vote of the Board members to authorize the executive session.

Brian McBride yes Jeff Bird was not in attendance

III. Personnel Issues – Shalene French
Chairperson Winchester asked Mrs. Burton and Dr. French to talk to the Board about personnel issues. They
updated the Board regarding recent patron concerns. The financial office and the high school has looked at
funds and reconciled them. There was no wrong doing but a perception issue. A new receipting process was
implemented last year that can receipt money received as needed. Instruction has been given that will help
alleviate concerns. The financial department will do an internal audit and reconciliation. Then Mrs. Burton will
report back to the Board.
IV. Move Back into Open Meeting
Chairperson Winchester then asked for a motion to move back into Open Meeting at 11:38 a.m.
Motion: Kip Nelson made the motion to move back into Open Meeting. Amy Landers seconded. The vote was 4
in favor, 0 abstentions and 0 opposed. The motion was carried.
