MOTION: Wendy Horman made the motion to remove section V-H Policies for Final Consideration
and place it under VIII.-New Business for discussion. Seconded by Kip Nelson. All in favor. Motion
passed.
VI. Old Business
1. Construction Financial Update – Mike Sorenson presented updated information as of April 30.
New schools are 60% completed, we will receive a commitment date on completion by June 1.
2. Policies for Final Consideration –
MOTION: Wendy Horman made the motion to table item V-H Policies for Final Consideration
until legal opinion. Seconded by Randy Haws. All in favor 3 yeas and 1 nay. Motion passed by a
4-1 vote.
VII. Public Input
Policy # 204.10 - Public Input will provide an opportunity for any Board Member, administrator,
staff member, student or patron to raise issues of interest. The Board will receive such input without
comment, except to ask germane questions of those speaking. Comments should be limited to 3
minutes. The Board will take no action relative to any items during the meeting, but may direct the
Superintendent to consider such an item at a subsequent meeting.

VIII. New Business
1. Teacher of the Year – Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roberts
2006-07 Teacher of the Year - Margarita Moody, Tiebreaker
2006-07 First Alternate - Jeanie Cousins, Ammon
2. 2007-2008 School Year Calendar – Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roberts presented the calendar
committees recommendation asking for a 30-day review within the buildings in our district.
MOTION: Randy Haws made the motion to accept the 30-day review within the buildings in
the district. Seconded by Annette Winchester. All in favor. Motion passed.
3. Proposed Policies - Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roberts presented 21 policies, procedures, forms
and exhibits for 30-day review within the buildings in the district.
MOTION: Kip Nelson made the motion to accept the 30-day review within the buildings in
our district. Seconded by Randy Haws. All in favor. Motion passed.

1. Policies for Initial Proposal – Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roberts presented 11 policies,
procedures, forms and/or exhibits for Board review only.

X. Call for Agenda Items for Upcoming Meetings
Chairman Lords calls for a motion to move into Executive Session to consider the evaluation,
dismissal or disciplining of or to hear a complaint or charge brought against, a public officer,
employee, staff member or individual agent, or a student.
MOTION: Kip Nelson made the motion to move into Executive Session. Seconded by Annette
Winchester. All in favor. Motion passed.
