I. Call to Order
7:30 p.m.
II. Roll Call
Board Members present: Vice Chairman, Annette Winchester, Treasurer, Randy Haws,
Wendy Horman, and Kip Nelson. Excused Board Member, Chairman, Craig Lords. Also
present: Superintendent Dr. Chuck Shackett and Jamie Smith, Board Clerk.

G. Policies for Final Consideration
35 Policies and/or Procedures
MOTION: Kip Nelson made the motion to accept the consent calendar. Seconded by
Wendy Horman. All in favor. Motion passed.
VI. Public Input
Policy # 204.10 - Public Input will provide an opportunity for any Board Member,
administrator, staff member, student or patron to raise issues of interest. The Board will
receive such input without comment, except to ask germane questions of those speaking.
Comments should be limited to 3 minutes. The Board will take no action relative to any
items during the meeting, but may direct the Superintendent to consider such an item at a
subsequent meeting.
DeLaine Shenton – BHS ballroom dancers appreciate any support from the district and thank
the Board for their support of program and presented letters of thanks from parents.
Joe Bodily – BHS Student Government Public Relation Coordinator updated the Board on
carpet project for BHS commons:
Cost
fund raising
district partnership with school
design
timeline (Christmas vacation installation)
Old BHS “B” at Rocky Mountain Middle School cut out and will be displayed in the
current BHS foyer – maybe done as a senior project.
VII. New Business
1. Presentation of 2004–2005 Audit, Galusha, Higgins, Galusha – Judy Brower reviewed
with the Board audit findings and states that the financial statements were presented fairly.
MOTION: Randy Haws made the motion to accept the 2004-2005 Audit. Seconded by
Kip Nelson. All in favor. Motion passed.
2. Idaho Special Education Interm Manual 2005 Policy Changes – Dan Keck presented the
changes and request adoption from the Board.
MOTION: Wendy Horman made the motion to adopt the Idaho Special Education
Interm Manual 2005 Policy Changes. Seconded by Randy Haws. All in favor. Motion
passed.
3. Policies for Initial Consideration – Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roberts presented these
policies and or procedures at the September meeting and informed the Board that the
Attendance policies have been removed and will be resubmitted in the November meeting.
Dr. Roberts is requesting thirty-day review within the district.
MOTION: Wendy Horman made the motion to accept the thirty-day review with the
district. Seconded by Kip Nelson. All in favor. Motion passed.
4. Construction Update – Mike Sorenson reviewed Capital Construction Projects with an
expense breakdown for the month of September.
VIII. Committee, Curriculum and Administrative Reports
1. Policies for Initial Consideration – Assistant Superintendent Dr. Roberts presented 14
policies and or procedures for Board review only.
IX. Call for Agenda Items for Upcoming Meetings
X. Adjournment
MOTION: Kip Nelson made the motion to adjourn. Seconded by Randy Haws. All
in favor. Motion passed. Time 8:10 p.m.
