The issue is to make the schools safe and conducive as much as we can also reviewing policy #3310. Hillcrest High School bans all types during the day, and Bonneville High School bans all types of bandanas, but allows headbands. On June 2, the district had an in-service on Gangs and Gang Activity by Mr. Tim Hensley from Borah High School in Boise who stated that the importance in recognizing gangs and gang activity is: the dress, colors, numbers, clothes, and teams, bandanas…need to address the situation immediately otherwise it attracts the members of other gangs.
