up keep on technology.

3. Dress Code – Dr. Bruce Roberts reported back to the Board as requested by BHS student Casey Soelberg
regarding bandanas. The issue is to make the schools safe and conducive as much as we can also reviewing policy
#3310. Hillcrest High School bans all types during the day, and Bonneville High School bans all types of bandanas, but
allows headbands.
On June 2, the district had an in-service on Gangs and Gang Activity by Mr. Tim Hensley from Borah High School
in Boise who stated that the importance in recognizing gangs and gang activity is: the dress, colors, numbers, clothes,
and teams, bandanas…need to address the situation immediately otherwise it attracts the members of other gangs.
This is a safety issue and disruption to the education system; principals are making a stand and will be reevaluating
what we are doing and what they are doing. We feel comfortable on what we have done.
