BONNEVILLE ONLINE SCHOOLS
ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility for enrollment in the Bonneville Online Schools shall be pursuant to applicable
Idaho Code and Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 policy and procedures. All
enrollments shall be contingent upon the availability of District resources. T herefore, the
Board reserves the right to adjust the capacity of the school as required.
Guidelines
Eligibility for Enrollment
In order to enroll in the Bonneville Online Schools, student eligibility must be
established.
1. Entrance Age (See policy #3000 Entrance Age)
a. No pupil may be enrolled in kindergarten whose fifth (5th) birthday does
not occur on or before the first (1st) day of September of the school year
in which the child registers to enter kindergarten.
b. No pupil may be enrolled in first grade whose sixth (6th) birthday does not
occur on or before the first (1st) day of September of the school year in
which the child registers to enter school.
2. Birth Certificate (See policy #3002 Birth Certificate)
a. A certified birth certificate issued from the Bureau of Vital Statistics, or
other legal proof of a child’s age, shall be required of students enrolling in
the Bonneville Joint School District for the first time .
3. Immunization Records (See policy #3004 Immunization Requirements)
a. Immunization records or a valid exemption are required for student
admission to the Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 schools.
4. Proof of Residence (See policy#3005 Proof of Residency)
a. Unless open enrollment status is granted by the Bonneville Joint School
District No. 93, students who enroll in District schools must reside full-time
within the School District boundaries with their natural parent or legal
guardian.

Bonneville School District Virtual Academy Enrollment Requirements
1. Students who reside within the attendance boundaries of Bonneville Joint School
District No. 93 shall be given priority for enrollment on a first-come-first served basis.
2. Students who reside outside the Bonneville School District’s attendance boundaries
will be allowed to enroll on a first-come-first served basis. The following conditions
apply:
a. The enrollment capacity of the school has not been met;
b. The student to teacher ratio has not exceeded overload limits within a grade
level; and
c. The student has been accepted for open enrollment transfer into the District
pursuant to policy #3010 Open Enrollment.
3. If a student has an IEP or 504 Plan, a District Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) must
certify that placement in Bonneville Online Schools is considered the least restrictive
and most appropriate educational environment for that student.
4. A parent/guardian is required to assume the role of the Home Learning Coach.
Completion of Required Forms
If a student is selected for enrollment in Bonneville Online Schools, the parent/guardian
is required to complete and mail or fax the forms and/or documents listed in the
Enrollment Link on the Bonneville Online Schools’ webpage,
http://www.d93schools.org/2/Home#.
