' 4 , JOINT SCHOOL DIS'TRIC'T NO. 93 'S5*Wclellx' Sarcccasw by I>csi�11 " 3497 North Amnion Road, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 834010 (208) 525 -4400 0 Fax (208) 529 -0104 0 www.d93schools.org Dr. Charles J. shackett, Superintendent Mariean McConnell, Deputy Superintendent Scott Woolstenhuime, Assistant Superintendent FOOD SERVICE CONTRACT Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 and White Pine Charter School School Year 2016 -2017 This agreement is made and entered into between Bonneville Joint School District #93 (District 93) and White Pine Charter School (WPCS), WHEREAS the District #93 agrees to supply meals for the rates herein listed: Student Paid Lunch $2.80 Student Reduced Price Lunch $.40 Adult Meals $3.75 Additional Milk $.40 It is further agreed that District 93 will follow the USDA Child Nutrition regulations and coordinate with WPCS the Implementation of the provisions of the NSLP Food Service Program. WPCS will ensure that NSLP training will be available to all WPCS food service employees and that they will meet the minimum standards required by the USDA Professional Standards. FREE AND REDUCED APPLICATIC>NS. WPCS will receive the Free and Reduced Applications, verify that the applications are filled out correctly and pre - approve each application according to the USDA guidelines. District 93 will then receive the applications and finalize the approval process for the Free and Reduce Applications and mail letters to the households. District 93 will be entitled to utilize this information to request federal funding and reimbursement. STUDENT DATA: WPCS will send a student data file in .csv format weekly to District 93 via flash drive or other portable device. Student data will only be shared via encrypted or otherwise secure method. This information will be used for state reporting and to keep student information current and accurate. WPCS will notify District 93 Immediately of any students transferring from District 93 to WPCS to prevent duplicate students In the POS database, LUNCH MONEY: WPCS will collect the lunch money received from students and keep a record of the student accounts. Upon receipt of invoice from District 93, WPCS will pay the invoice within 15 days. MEAL COjjNT / MENU CHQICES: WPCS will call in lunch counts daily to Tiebreaker Elementary School (TES) by 9:10 a.m. (Laurie Wyatt, Manager 227 - 9836). it is important that the meal count reflects what is actually ordered that day. In the event that meals are ordered and not served, WPCS will be charged $3.75 for each meal returned, as determined by the production records. All leftover food must be returned to TES at the end of each day. Menu choices will be coordinated by WPCS Kitchen manager and TES Kitchen manager. Preference will be given to items that are pre - portioned and easily counted when served. TRANSPORTA_T,�QN: TES staff will prepare the food and place he food in transport containers provided by WPCS. Meals will be picked up by 10:30 am by WPCS. At the end ofithe day, TES staff will return empty pans and leftover food to TES. N. ».... ad. _ Ir- . ..tY, .., .._ _r ... .r» rr...... .. 1. .r.'.' . .,. .. ..i ,. 1 PRODUCTION RECORDS: Production records will be provided by District 93 and must be accurately completed each day by WPCS staff and returned to TES. At the end of each day, all leftover food will be documented on the production records. Production Records, leftover food and empty pans will be returned to the Tiebreaker kitchen. No food is to be taken off site, except to return leftovers to TES. STAFF: District 93 will provide a Child Nutrition staff member to WPCS for point of service and accountability. The cost of this additional staff member will be absorbed by WPCS. This staff member will take the POS meal count daily on site at WPCS. They will also monitor the serving and end of day production count processes to ensure that the USDA guidelines are being followed. The meal count must be taken at the end of the serving line. District 93 will provide the laptop to record meals on site. No paper rosters will be used. At the end of each day a list will be sent to WPCS for their use in collecting meal payments. WPCS will provide staff to transport and serve lunches; and a custodian to clean up the lunch room and kitchen floors. SERVING PERIOD: The meal serving period will not exceed 60 minutes. LABOR MEALS, District 93 agrees to provide 3 meals daily at no charge for adult labor meats. All meals will be recorded on the daily production records by WPCS. ALA CARTE MILK: All a la carte milk sold will be accounted for dally at the POS terminal and billed to WPCS at the end of each month. LLTTERNATE MEAL: Alternate meals will be provided at the expense of WPCS for'students who are not Included in the morning lunch count, due to tardiness etc. These alternate meals will not be included for reimbursement. SCHOOL CALENDAR: District 93 agrees to provide lunches on the days that are in session and serving lunches to students within the school district. Days that District 931s not In session or not providing lunches, WPCS will be responsible for providing its own lunch program. WPCS is not required to purchase lunches on days it Is not serving lunch. WPCS will provide District 93 with a school calendar for fiscal year 2016 - 2017. ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS: At the end of the school year WPCS will be billed the following costs: $1,500 Administrative Costs 4 750 Additional TES Kitchgp Staff $6,250 Total It is understood that District 93 cannot operate this contract at a financial loss. For this reason the ongoing revenues and expenditures will be examined to determine the financial feasibility of continuing to provide food service to WPCS. Should there be financial losses incurred by District 93; WPCS will be given an opportunity to supplement the current revenues to the extent that the costs of the program are paid. Should WPCS decide not to subsidize current revenue; District 93 will cancel the lunch program immediately upon written notice.
