caps and hats would be allowed at the teacher’s discretion, provided that the hat is appropriate. Meaning that it doesn’t have inappropriate designs on it. Dr.
Shackett will work with the principals of the schools and report back to the Board on their input and feedback. He asked Whitney to submit a draft of the

C. 2015-2016 Proposed Calendar – Marjean McConnell
Mrs. McConnell presented options for the calendar for the 2015-2016 school year. One starts before Labor Day and one starts afterward. The one that starts
early would give students more time to prepare for tests after the December break. Mr. Nelson wondered if we have looked at aligning with District 91.
Chairperson Winchester responded that she has talked to their chairperson and she stated that people have liked the calendar this year because they have
been the basically the same. Annette will tell them that this will be on our website for 30-day review. Brian asked about a calendar that could end by Labor Day.
Marjean explained that it would be difficult to make that happen. We would have to lengthen the day or change the length of the breaks. Kip asked about
rumors about early release. He wondered if split sessions would affect the calendar. Marjean explained that we would have to evaluate the number of
instructional minutes in the year and see if it would fit. She thought that it would probably fit.
Motion to put calendar into 30-day review. Jeff moved, Amy second.

changed to the AESOP system. Mrs. McConnell explained that it is a newer program and will do the same thing. The compensation is by the hour now. It adds
