HomeMy WebLinkAbout3000 Entrance Age3000 STUDENTS Page 1 of 1 ENTRANCE AGE In an attempt to provide the best educational opportunity for students to achieve success, the Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 Board of Trustees provides that children must meet certain age requirements pursuant to Idaho Code 33-201 for admission to the District schools. Guidelines Entrance, Date and Age No pupil may be enrolled in the kindergarten whose fifth ( 5th) birthday does not occur on or before the first ( 1St) day of September of the school year in which the child registers to enter kindergarten. 2. No pupil may be enrolled in the first ( 1St) grade whose sixth ( 611) birthday does not occur on or before the first ( 1St) day of September of the school year in which the child registers to enter school. 3. Any child of the age of five (5) years who has completed a private or public out-of- state kindergarten for the required 450 hours, but has not reached the age and date requirements set forth above, shall be allowed to enter the first grade. 4. A birth certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics, or other legal proof of a child' s age, shall be required of students entering kindergarten or first grade.
