Executive Session January 31, 2018 11:00 AM Tiebreaker Elementary I. Call to Order Chairman Paul Jenkins called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. II. Executive Session A. Chairman Paul Jenkins stated that the Board will enter into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code Section Idaho Code Section 74-206(1)(b)To consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student. The Executive Session will be closed to the public as permitted by law. He then asked for a motion to enter into Executive Session at 11:01 a.m.: MOTION: Amy Landers moved to enter into executive session for the reasons stated. Greg Calder seconded. The roll call vote was: III. Roll Call Vote Chad Dance yes Greg Calder yes Scott Lynch yes Paul Jenkins yes Amy Landers yes IV. Discussion Items A. Student Discipline - Scott Woolstenhulme 1. Student 18-G Discussion from 11:01 a.m. to 11:13 a.m. Chairman Jenkins invited Scott Woolstenhulme to inform the Board on student 18-G. Mr. Woolstenhulme recommended to expel student 18-G for one calendar year and conditionally readmit student 18-G to Sandcreek Middle School. B. Superintendent's Evaluation - Chairman Jenkins Discussion from 11:14 p.m. to 11:51 a.m. Chairman Jenkins reminded the Board of the confidentiality required for executive sessions. He passed out copies of the Superintendent’s evaluation form to each Board member. He asked for them to individually rate the Superintendent and prepare to discuss with the Board at a following executive session. The meeting was tentatively set to be held after the regular meeting on February 14, 2018. V. Move Back into Open Meeting Chairman Jenkins asked for a motion to move back into open meeting at 11:51 a.m. MOTION: Amy Landers moved to move back into open session. Greg Calder seconded. The vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion carried. VI. Motions from Executive Session A. Student 18-G Decision
MOTION: Amy Landers moved expel student 18-G for one calendar year and conditionally readmit student 18-G to Sandcreek Middle School. Chad Dance seconded. The vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion carried. VII.
