PROOF OF RESIDENCY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why is this policy necessary?
Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 enrollment continues to grow at a rate of three to
four percent (3% - 4 %) annually. With growth comes increases in our school population

The Board must ensure that students enrolled in our schools are actual residents of
District.

affidavit?
Board policy requires that a parent/guardian provide either proof of residence or a
signed and notarized affidavit. This requirement must be completed before a student
can be enrolled.
You may complete and submit an open enrollment form to the office of the school you
wish your child to attend. If accepted, your student would be enrolled for the current
school year without proof of residence in the district.
Can the affidavit process be completed at the local school?
The Affidavit of Residency must be completed at the Bonneville Joint School District
Office located at 3497 N. Ammon Road in Idaho Falls.
