CLASSIFIED EMPLOYMENT AND ASSIGNMENT
All classified employees in Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 shall be regarded as
“at-will” employees and the employment relationship may be terminated at any time for
any reason so long as the same does not violate public policy or violate any other
provision of law.
Guidelines
Designation of At-will Status
At-will designation will be included in all job descriptions.
No Property Rights
1. An employment period, as well as other terms and conditions of emp loyment set
forth in a job description shall not create a property right.
2. Classified employees shall have no expectation of continued employment .
Employment Conditions
1. The District reserves the right to change employment conditions affecting the
employee’s duties, assignment, supervisor, or grade.
2. The Board shall determine the salary and wages for classified personnel.
3. Pursuant to the Idaho Department of Labor Guide to Idaho Labor Laws (at
labor.idaho.gov/pdf/wagehour.pdf), the District is not required to provide rest
periods, breaks, or lunch breaks.
Grievance Procedure
The grievance procedure for classified employees shall be the procedure set forth in
Policy No. 5860, Uniform Grievance Procedure.
DEFINITIONS:
At -Will Status: Classified positions in the District are in all respects “employment-at-
will”. Both the employee and the District remain free to terminate the employment
relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause so long as the same does

not violate public policy or violate any other provision of law. Such at-will designation
will be included in all job descriptions as mandated by Idaho Code § 33-517.
Classified Employees: are those non-certificated employees.
