The Board acknowledges the importance of safety for students, staff and others having
business with the District. Safety education, accident prevention, and proper supervision
are important as protective measures to promote a culture of safety awareness. The
Su perintendent/designee is directed to develop and implement a safety program that
will include, but not be limited to, compliance with all state and federal laws, rules, and
regulations. The program will include a provision for in- service training designated to
promote safety standards and practices.
Guidelines
1. When conditions of disrepair or hazard appear, they shall be reported immediately to
the Superintendent /designee.
2. Such reports shall be investigated within a reasonable time and corrected as
determined to be necessary to protect students, personnel, and visitors form unsafe
conditions.
3. If conditions of disrepair or hazard constitute a significant threat to the safety of
students or others, school operations shall be altered in such a way as to eliminate
the threat with as little disruption of the school program as possible.
