The Superintendent/designee shall establish procedures that address the purchase,
storage, handling, transportation, removal and disposal of hazardous materials for
school facilities, operations, and instructional programs. The procedures shall also
include emergency response actions and evacuation plans.
District employees who are involved with hazardous materials shall be trained regarding
the procedures in order to prevent accidents and to take appropriate action in the event
of an accident.
DEFINITION
Hazardous Material: includes any substance or mixture of substances that poses a
fire, explosive, reactive, or health hazard.
