HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity of Iona BasketballCity of lona Basketball & Bonnevitle Joint School District 93 Facilities Agreement 1 The purpose of this document is to create and maintain an agreement for a combined partnership between the City of lona and Bonneville Joint School District 93 (BJSDg3) for the 2021 City of lona Youth Basketball League. The provisions of the agreement are as follows: a. The City of lona Sports Director will organize, advertise and direct youth basketball league for children in grades K-8 within the Bonneville Joint School District 93. b. The City of lona and BJSD93 will both be advertised as equal partners on registration forms and team uniforms. c. BJSD93 will provide the City of lona basketball league with the use ofthe following elementary schools to host games during the seven-week season running from Saturdav, Januarv 2, 2021 to Saturdav, Februarv 27,202L. a. The City of lona will be allowed to use the following elementary sites: lona, Dlscovery, Bridgewater, Summit Hills, Rimrock, Woodland Hills and Mountain Valley. b. The City of lona will be allowed to use the following secondary gyms: Bonneville HS Aux Gym, Hillcrest HS Upstairs Gym, Thunder Ridge HS both Upstairs Gyms and Ammon Elementary, as needed. d. The City of lona will have first prlority of the gym times at all sites from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the afore mentioned dates. e. BJSD93 will provide at no charge, access to scoreboards and game clocks for the afore mentioned secondary gyms. f. The City of lona will supply the necessary game management as well as "Hall Monltors" for those sites without hallway gates. Sites include Discovery, Brldgewater and Summit Hills. g. Gym temperatures will be set no higher than 65s in order to help with the heating costs. h. The City of lona will advertise and conduct registration. i. Payment for participation will be made payable to the City of lona. Expected participation fee is 542.00. j. The City of lona will provide a Certificate of Liability and property damage "Certificate of lnsurance" in the amount of $1,000,000, naming Bonneville Joint School District 93 as an additional insured prlor to the date of the event or effective rental date. k. The City of lona will ensure that each team will provide a waiver of liability that has been signed by the parents/guardians of the participants. l. The City of lona will continue developing, writing and enforcing league participation rules, (please send a copy to Heath Jackson at BJSD93). City of lona Basketball & Bonneville Joint School District 93 Facilities Agreement The City of lona will provide a detailed plan for handling the COVID-19 rules, sanitization, virus breakouts and number of spectators per game. This plan must be given to Gordon Howard at BJSD93 before the season starts. The city of lona will hire all necessary personnel for the duration of this league and conduct payroll for employee compensation i.e., officials, building managers and hall monitors. BJSDg3 employees and students will have priorlty for these seasonal positions, if desired. The City of lona employees will be responsible for the cleaning of the building and dumping garbage ca ns during the afore mentioned dates. Anyone hired to help with the basketball league will be considered City of lona Seasonal Employees and be subject to fill out all necessary paperwork prior to working. The City of lona will conduct background checks on all coaches and employees. The City of lona will pay for incurred equipment costs i.e., team and officials uniforms, basketballs, scorebooks and whistles. BJSD93 entities will be allowed to use the following city of lona facillties at no charge. a. City Building b. City Parks and shelters c. City Baseball and Softball Fields r.
