Minutes Executive Session
Wednesday, June 13, 2012
6:30 p.m.
I. Call to Order
Vice-chairman Winchester called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m.
II. Roll Call
Those in attendance were Vice-chairman Annette Winchester, Treasurer Wendy Horman, Trustee Kip Nelson, Trustee DeVere Hunt, Assistant Superintendent Marjean
McConnell, and Board Clerk Valerie Messick.
Vice-chairman Winchester asked for a motion to enter into Executive Session per Idaho Code Section 67-2345 (1)(b) To consider the evaluation, dismissal or
disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student.
Motion: Kip Nelson made the motion to enter into executive session for the purpose stated by Vice-chairman Winchester. DeVere Hunt seconded. Roll call vote was:
Wendy Horman – Yes, Devere Hunt – Yes, Kip Nelson – Yes, and Annette Winchester – Yes.
III. Personnel Item – Marjean McConnell
Mrs. McConnell reported on the events leading to the suspension of employee B12. She and the administrator have met with the employee, IEA and BEA
representatives, and the District’s legal counsel. She reported on the additional disciplinary measures that were administered and asked that the Board approve the
administrative suspension.
IV. Move Into Open Session
Vice-chairman Winchester asked if there would be a motion to move back in to open session.
Motion: Wendy Horman made the motion to move back into open session at 6:51 p.m. Kip Nelson seconded. The vote was 4 in favor with 0 opposed and 0
abstentions. Motion passed.
