I. Chairman Dance called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.
II. Roll Call

III. Opening Board Business
A. Approve/Amend Agenda (Action Item)
Motion: Carissa Coats moved to approve the agenda. Randy Smith seconded. Motion carried.
B. Chad Dance welcomed visitors and Delegations to the meeting.
IV. Discussion Items
A. Zone 3 Trustee Appointment Interviews
The Board conducted interviews for the Zone 3 vacancy. The candidates were each given twenty minutes to answer
questions and to introduce themselves. The candidates were Jeff Barnard, Christopher Harrison, and Melissa Gray.
The questions that were asked are as follows:
1. What do you think is expected of you, as a Board member. Timewise and commitment?
2. Where do you think we are as a district? What can we do to improve?
3. Do you have a specific agenda?
4. What do you think are the actual issues that our students are facing today?
5. Do you have affiliations with any special interest groups that have an agenda?
6. How do you handle conflict?
7. What do you feel is the role of the Superintendent?
8. What doyou think is the role of a trustee?
9. How do you represenst those who don’t know what is going on in the district?
After the interviews were conducted, Chairman Dance thanked each candidate for their willingness to be a part of the
Board of Trustees. Chairman Dance and the Board deliberated together to come to consensus.
V. Executive Session (Action Item)
Chairman Dance stated that the Board will enter into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code 74-206(1)(b) to consider
the evaluation, dismissal, or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee,
staff member, or individual agent, or public school student. The Executive Session will be closed to the public as permitted
by law. He asked for a motion.
Motion: Carissa Coats moved to enter Executive Session. Randy Smith seconded.

Chairman Dance invited Heath Jackson, Executive Director of Planning and Personnel to discuss Employee
A2024.
VI. Close Executive Session (Action Item)
Motion: Carissa Coats moved to close Executive Session. Randy Smith seconded. Motion carried.
The Board entered open session at 6:52
VII. Closing Board Business
A. Chairman Dance called for Agenda Items for Upcoming Meetings, hearing none he asked for a motion to adjourn.
B. Adjournment (Action Item)
Motion: Randy Smith moved to adjourn the meeting. Mindy Clayton seconded. Motion carried.
