PERSONNEL <br />JURY DUTY LEAVE <br />5412 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Serving as a juror is a fundamental responsibility of citizenship, and the Bonneville Joint <br />School District No. 93 Board supports this important role in our society. Therefore, all <br />full-time employees of the District summoned to serve as a member of a jury panel shall <br />be granted leave with full pay. <br />Guidelines <br />Reporting Jury Duty <br />Upon receipt of the initial, official notification, an employee selected for jury duty <br />must submit a copy of such notice to his/her principal or immediate supervisor. <br />2. Certified teachers shall report leave for jury duty through the District's automated <br />substitute reporting system. <br />3. Certified administrators shall report leave for jury duty on the District Attendance <br />History Form. <br />4. Classified employees shall report jury duty leave through the electronic timekeeping <br />system. <br />5. A copy of the Employee Jury Service Affidavit shall be submitted to the Payroll <br />Office. <br />Work upon Being Excused from Jury Service <br />Upon being excused from jury service during any day, an employee shall return to <br />complete his/her assignment in the District for the remainder of the regular work day. <br />2. Employees shall report to work on any days when they are not summoned to jury <br />duty. <br />Compensation for Jury Duty <br />Full-time employees will be eligible for full salary compensation when serving on jury <br />duty. <br />2. Certified teachers will be compensated pursuant to terms of the current Master <br />Agreement. <br />Effect on Other Leaves <br />Leave granted for jury duty shall not affect an employee's sick, personal, or vacation <br />leave balance. <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />
