PERSONNEL <br />5018 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />INFORMAL REVIEW <br /> <br />The following events and circumstances create a right allowing specified employees to <br />request an Informal Review of the Board’s decision to not reemploy or reissue an <br />employment contract: <br /> <br /> Non-reemployment of Category 3 Contract teachers; <br /> An administrative employee reassignment; <br /> Non-reissuance of Supplemental Extra-Duty Contracts; and <br /> Any other circumstance specified in Idaho law creating a right to request an <br />informal review. <br /> <br />The parameters for the Informal Review will be determined by the Board. <br /> <br /> <br />Guidelines <br /> <br />Written Request <br /> <br />1. A request for an Informal Review must be in writing and include a statement <br />explaining the reasoning for disagreement with the Board’s decision. <br /> <br />2. The statement must not exceed to two (2) pages. <br /> <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS: <br /> <br />Category 3 Certificated Employees: Certified staff hired in the third year of continuous <br />employment by the same school district <br /> <br />Certified Staff: includes all certificated staff except principals and District <br />administrators. <br /> <br />Renewable Contract Certificated Employees: Certificated staff completing their third <br />full year of continuous employment with the same school district and having been <br />evaluated for a renewable contract, shall, upon having been offered a contract for the <br />next ensuing year, giving notice of acceptance of renewal, and upon signing a contract <br />for the fourth full year, shall be placed on a renewable contract status. <br /> <br />Renewable Contract Certificated Employees shall have the right to automatic renewal of <br />contract by giving notice in writing of acceptance of renewal. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted 04-08-2015 Reviewed Revised <br />
