HomeMy WebLinkAbout5200 Code of Ethics for Professional EducatorsPERSONNEL 5200 Page 1 of 1 CODE OF ETHICS FOR IDAHO PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS The Board of Trustees is committed to the Code of Ethics of the Idaho Teaching Profession which was developed by the Professional Standards approved by the State Board of Education and approved by the Idaho State Legislature. Guidelines 1. Allegations of violations of the Code of Ethics (5200E1, 5200E2) brought to the attention of the District’s administrative staff will be fully investigated by the Superintendent/designee. 2. If it is determined that a certificated employee violated the principles of the Code of Ethics, the District may file a complaint with the Professional Standards Commission and may initiate District disciplinary action up to and including dismissal of the certificated employee. 3. If a certificated employee is dismissed, resigns, or is otherwise severed from employment for reasons that could constitute grounds for revocation, suspension, or denial of a certificate, the Superintendent/designee will, within ten (10) days of the action, report to the Professional Standards Commission the circumstances and name of the educator.
