INSTRUCTION <br />HOMEBOUND, HOSPITAL AND HOME INSTRUCTION <br />2380 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />In the Bonneville Joint School District No. 93, a student absent from school for more <br />than ten (10) consecutive days because of health or physical impairment will be <br />provided the services of a teacher or an aide in the home or local hospital within the <br />District's boundary. <br />Guidelines <br />1. Appropriate educational services may begin as soon as eligibility has been <br />established through the Director of Special Education /designee and coordinated with <br />the building administrator of the student. <br />2. Such students shall be included in calculating the average daily attendance. <br />DEFINITION <br />Homebound Student: means any student who would normally and regularly attend <br />school, but is confined to home or hospital because of an illness or accident for a period <br />of ten (10) or more consecutive days. <br />Adopted 06 -08 -2005 Reviewed Revised _ <br />Legal Reference: I.C. § 33 -1001 Definitions <br />I.C. § 33 -1003A Calculation of Average Daily Attendance <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />
