INSTRUCTION <br />COMPARABILITY OF PERSONNEL <br />2420 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />To be in compliance with the requirements of P.L. 103 -382, section 1120A, the Board of <br />Trustees of Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 directs the Superintendent /designee <br />to assign teachers, administrators and auxiliary personnel to the schools within the <br />District in such a way that equivalence of personnel is ensured among the schools. <br />Guidelines <br />1. Teachers, administrators and auxiliary personnel will be assigned annually such that <br />services provided in Title I schools are comparable to the services provided in non - <br />Title I schools. <br />a. Schools with an enrollment of 100 or less maybe excluded when computing <br />comparability data. <br />b. When computing comparability data, staff paid from Title I funds, Migrant <br />Education funds, and other Federal funds for which the District is directly <br />accountable must be excluded. <br />c. The average number of children per instructional staff member in each Title I <br />school may not be more than 110% of the same average for all non -Title I <br />schools of comparable grade span. <br />d. Unpredictable changes in student enrollment or personnel assignments that <br />occur after October 1 st need not be included in determining comparability of <br />services. <br />e. The average expenditure of state and local funds for instructional staff in each <br />Title I school may not be less than 90% of the average for all non -Title I schools. <br />f. Staff salary differentials for years of employment will not be included in <br />comparability determinations. <br />3. Compliance with comparability requirements will be documented annually by <br />submitting written assurances to the State Department of Education that the District <br />has established the following: <br />a. a district -wide salary schedule; <br />b. a policy to ensure equivalence among schools in teachers, administrators, and <br />auxiliary personnel; and <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />
