INSTRUCTION <br />2425 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />COMPARABILITY OF CURRICULUM MATERIALS AND <br />INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPLIES <br />To be in compliance with the requirements of P.L. 103 -382, Section 1120A, the Board of <br />Trustees directs the Superintendent to distribute curriculum materials and instructional <br />supplies in such a way that equivalence of such materials is ensured among the <br />schools. <br />Guidelines <br />Non - Federal funds must be spent in such a way as to provide comparable services <br />to each school in the district. <br />a. State and local funds spent for bilingual education for children of limited English <br />proficiency, excess costs of providing services to children with disabilities, and <br />supplemental State and local funds spent for programs that meet the intent of <br />Title I, Part A may be excluded when computing comparability. <br />b. Schools with an enrollment of 100 or less students may be excluded when <br />computing comparability. <br />2. Written procedures to ensure compliance with the comparability requirements will be <br />developed that include the following: <br />a. A process for demonstrating that State and local funds are provided to both Title <br />and non -Title I schools on a comparable basis. <br />b. Procedures for correcting inequities that exceed ten percent (10 %). <br />3. Records will be maintained that demonstrate the assurances have been <br />implemented. <br />a. These records may be examined during Title I onsite program reviews and <br />audits. <br />b. Failure to comply with the assurances is a violation of the Title I statute. <br />4. Compliance with comparability requirements will be documented annually by <br />submitting written assurances to the State Department of Education that the District <br />has established the following: <br />a. a district -wide salary schedule; <br />b. a policy to ensure equivalence among schools in teachers, administrators, and <br />auxiliary personnel; and <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />
