Middle School Promotion Plan Grades 7-8 N� Credit Retrieval Pathway A student may: x Pass summer school. x Pass IDLA classes x Make up credits at the eCenter. Tips for Success x Use the student agenda. x Attend school regularly. x Develop a habit of working hard and using time wisely. x Continually think and ask questions that will help you understand assignments. x Communicate with teachers and parents about academic progress and anything with which you are struggling. x Attend before and/or after school help sessions. x Students on the alternate path to promotion will meet with their counselor to make sure they are on track to meet at least 3 of the alternative requirements. OR Alternative Pathway A V 10, N� 4, Students need to complete 3 of the 4 following items: Finish the school year with at least a 2.0 GPA. Miss no more than 18 days per school year. Earn expected proficiency on ISATs or show acceptable growth in standardized testing content areas — PLATO. Pass ECA(s) for failed course(s). 1*1 It 9 N 2640E2 Credit Retrieval Board A student needing special consideration may be allowed to present a portfolio of work demonstrating proficiency to the School Credit Retrieval Board for individual consideration. The Credit Retrieval Board will be made up of the school's principal, counselor, one teacher, and a District Office representative.
