The academic achievement of graduating seniors shall be recognized through the
following steps.
1. Grade point shall be determined by the average of grades earned during the four (4)
complete years of a student's high school career.
2. Students wishing to omit GPA for classes that are earned above the minimum
graduation requirements, may do so by completing a Credit Review Form #2750F
and submitting it to the building principal/designee.
3. Thousandths will not be counted in determining ties.
4. Two (2) students with the highest GPAs may represent the class and speak during
the commencement exercises.
5. Students earning the following GPAs may be recognized at graduation or during
senior awards night.
a. Honors: 3.5-3.749
b. Cum Laude: 3.75-3.99
c. Magna Cum Laude: 4.00-4.24
d. Suma Cum Laude: 4.25 -Above
