STUDENTS <br />PROOF OF RESIDENCY <br />3006 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Unless open enrollment status is granted by the Bonneville Joint School District No. 93, <br />students who enroll in District schools must reside full -time in the School District <br />boundaries with their natural parent or legal guardian. Students and their <br />parent(s) /guardian(s), not granted open enrollment status, must remain full -time <br />residents of the District for the entire period of enrollment in District schools. <br />Guidelines <br />Proof of Residence <br />1. Proof of residence may be required when a student initially enrolls in a school and <br />whenever a change of residence occurs. <br />a. Proof of residency records must include the name and street address of the <br />parent/guardian. <br />b. The property address given must be the actual location where the student and <br />parent/guardian live full -time. <br />2. The principal /designee shall accept any of the following records as proof of <br />residency: <br />a. A lease or rental agreement consisting of written evidence that the agreement is <br />valid and current, and a current utility bill (gas, electric, water, home telephone, <br />or cable); OR <br />b. A current residential property tax statement or deed, and a current utility bill (gas, <br />electric, water, home telephone, or cable);OR <br />c. A third - person affidavit of residency completed with the school district <br />(1) The notarized affidavit shall be completed and signed by the parent /guardian, <br />as well as the legal owner or lesser of the property where the student and <br />parent/guardian reside. <br />(2) The affidavit will be in effect until the parent/guardian provides the required <br />proof of residence, but no longer than the end of the current school year. <br />Verification of Residency <br />A District representative may visit the address given by any parent/guardian to verify <br />residency. <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />
