STUDENTS <br />ABUSE OF SCHOOL PROPERTY <br />3325 <br />(also 4360 and 5327) <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />Any stealing, unauthorized selling, destroying, or defacing of Bonneville Joint School <br />District No. 93 property whether the actions take place on any school premises or at any <br />school sponsored activities, regardless of location, is prohibited. <br />Guidelines <br />1. It is the intent of the Board to seek damages, as permitted by law, from individuals <br />who abuse school property. <br />2. The Superintendent/designee shall initiate the investigation and reporting of damage <br />or loss and may initiate action, on behalf of the District, to collect for damages. <br />Discipline <br />1. Discipline for violation of this policy may involve actions up to and including <br />dismissal of an employee. <br />2. Violation of this policy by a visitor may involve actions up to and including future <br />prohibition from entering any school premises or attending any school sponsored <br />activity, regardless of location. <br />3. Discipline for violation of this policy by a student, may involve actions up to and <br />including suspension, and /or expulsion. <br />4. The Su perintendent/designee shall submit the case to the appropriate law <br />enforcement agency when the charges warrant such action. <br />DEFINITION <br />On any school premises or at any school sponsored activity, regardless of <br />location: shall include, but not be limited to buildings, facilities, and grounds on the <br />school campus, school busses, school parking areas; and the location of any school <br />sponsored activity.
