HomeMy WebLinkAbout4290 Political CampaignsCOMMUNITY RELATIONS POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS 4290 (also 5392) Page 1 of 1 The Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 Board of Trustees requires that prior approval from the Superintendent/designee before any partisan or non-partisan political campaign materials are displayed on any school premises. Guidelines 1. This policy is not intended to regulate student government elections. 2. Interviews, pictures, and/or video taping for political purposes: a. Shall not be done during the school day b. Require prior approval from the Superintendent/designee and principal/designee for use of District Property. c. Require parent/guardian approval in instances where a student is involved in an interview, photo, and/or video. 3. Political campaign materials shall not be distributed by means of student lockers, teachers' mail boxes, or District e-mail. 4. Materials may be left in the school office for placement in the faculty room or other appropriate place, as determined by the principal/designee. 5. Candidates wanting to speak about their campaigns with the employees of the school must first obtain approval of the principal/designee. 6. If approved, the principal/designee will determine the appropriate time, place and manner.
