PERSONNEL <br />5060 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 shall contract annually with each certificated <br />employee holding a valid certificate with applicable endorsements. Such contract shall <br />be in a form approved by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. <br /> <br /> <br />Guidelines <br /> <br />Binding Contract <br /> <br />A contract shall be binding on the District and on the certificated employee and shall not <br />be abridged or abrogated during its term by either party except by mutual consent or as <br />may be provided elsewhere in statutory language or Board policy. <br /> <br />Period of Contract <br /> <br />1. Contracts for certificated staff shall be written for a period not to exceed one year <br />pursuant to Idaho Code Sections 33-514 and 33-515. <br /> <br />2. Contracts for administrators shall be written for a period not to exceed on year, <br />except in those circumstances when the Board elects to enter into a: <br /> <br />a. Two (2) year contract with assistant superintendents, directors, principals, or <br />other administrative employees; or <br /> <br />b. Three (3) year contract with the superintendent of schools. <br /> <br />Delivery of Contract <br /> <br />Delivery of a contract may be made: <br /> <br />1. In person, acknowledged by a signed receipt; <br /> <br />2. By certified mail, return receipt requested; or <br /> <br />3. Electronically, return receipt requested. <br /> <br />Return of the Contract <br /> <br />1. A person who receives a proposed contract from the District shall have ten (10) days <br />from the date of delivery to sign and return the contract. <br /> <br />2. If the District does not receive a signed contract that was delivered electronically, <br />and has not received an electronic read receipt from the employee, the District shall: <br />
