NON-INSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS <br />5435 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br /> <br />WELLNESS AND BENEFITS COMMITTEE <br /> <br />The Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 Board of Trustees acknowledges its <br />commitment to provide insurance coverage for the District's eligible employees. A <br />Wellness and Benefits Committee shall be established for the purpose of studying <br />insurance and making recommendations regarding possible adoption and <br />implementation of benefits for District employees. <br /> <br /> <br />Guidelines <br /> <br />Organization of the Committee <br /> <br />1. The Insurance Committee shall be composed of the following: <br /> <br />a. The Director of Human Resources, who will serve as the Chairperson of the <br />Wellness and Benefits Committee; <br /> <br />b. Two (2) representatives of the District's Building Administrators; <br /> <br />c. Three (3) representatives of the District's teachers with at least one (1) <br />representative from the teachers representative education association; <br /> <br />d. Three (3) representatives of the District's classified employees; <br /> <br />e. One (1) member of the District's retired personnel; and <br /> <br />f. The District’s Chief Financial Officer. <br /> <br />2. Members shall be appointed by their respective groups and/or representative <br />organizations for a period of five (5) years. <br /> <br />3. Human Resources Benefits Manager, who will serve as the Executive Secretary of <br />the Wellness and Benefits Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />Function of the Committee <br /> <br />1. Grant approval to new insurance companies requesting to work within the guidelines <br />of Procedures for Approval of New Optional Insurance and Investment Companies <br />#8510P. <br /> <br />2. Ensure that employees desiring payroll deduction for optional insuranc e work within <br />the guidelines of procedure.
