PERSONNEL <br />5800 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br /> <br /> <br />CLASSIFIED EMPLOYMENT AND ASSIGNMENT <br /> <br />All classified employees in Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 shall be regarded as <br />“at-will” employees and the employment relationship may be terminated at any time for <br />any reason so long as the same does not violate public policy or violate any other <br />provision of law. <br /> <br /> <br />Guidelines <br /> <br />Designation of At-will Status <br /> <br />At-will designation will be included in all job descriptions. <br /> <br />No Property Rights <br /> <br />1. An employment period, as well as other terms and conditions of emp loyment set <br />forth in a job description shall not create a property right. <br /> <br />2. Classified employees shall have no expectation of continued employment . <br /> <br />Employment Conditions <br /> <br />1. The District reserves the right to change employment conditions affecting the <br />employee’s duties, assignment, supervisor, or grade. <br /> <br />2. The Board shall determine the salary and wages for classified personnel. <br /> <br />3. Pursuant to the Idaho Department of Labor Guide to Idaho Labor Laws (at <br />labor.idaho.gov/pdf/wagehour.pdf), the District is not required to provide rest <br />periods, breaks, or lunch breaks. <br /> <br />Grievance Procedure <br /> <br />The grievance procedure for classified employees shall be the procedure set forth in <br />Policy No. 5860, Uniform Grievance Procedure. <br /> <br /> <br />DEFINITIONS: <br /> <br />At -Will Status: Classified positions in the District are in all respects “employment-at- <br />will”. Both the employee and the District remain free to terminate the employment <br />relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without cause so long as the same does
