HomeMy WebLinkAbout8190 School Bus MaintenanceNON - INSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS 8190 Page 1 of 1 SCHOOL BUS MAINTENANCE Proper and systemic school bus maintenance is important in providing for safe transportation of students. No bus shall be operated for the transportation of students unless it is maintained in safe condition. The Transportation Manager is responsible for a safe and efficient program of school bus maintenance. Guidelines The Transportation Manager /designee shall: 1. Keep each active school bus safe and ready for operation at all times with the lowest cost possible, consistent with safe transportation standards. 2. Organize and carry on a systematic plan of preventive maintenance for all school and activity buses on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. 3. Organize a maintenance records system that permits ready access to each vehicle's maintenance information.
