NON - INSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS <br />8190 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />SCHOOL BUS MAINTENANCE <br />Proper and systemic school bus maintenance is important in providing for safe <br />transportation of students. No bus shall be operated for the transportation of students <br />unless it is maintained in safe condition. The Transportation Manager is responsible for <br />a safe and efficient program of school bus maintenance. <br />Guidelines <br />The Transportation Manager /designee shall: <br />1. Keep each active school bus safe and ready for operation at all times with the <br />lowest cost possible, consistent with safe transportation standards. <br />2. Organize and carry on a systematic plan of preventive maintenance for all school <br />and activity buses on a daily, monthly, and annual basis. <br />3.
