NON - INSTRUCTIONAL OPERATIONS <br />8210 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />STUDENT SUPERVISION ON ACTIVITY AND FIELD TRIPS <br />The full time and attention of the bus driver shall, of necessity, be on proper driving <br />procedures while transporting students to and from activity and field trips. Therefore, <br />those individuals who are supervising, or chaperoning, shall assure proper control of <br />students riding the bus. <br />Guidelines <br />1. The building principal /designee shall appoint an individual responsible for <br />chaperoning and /or supervising the activity or field trip. <br />2. The chaperon /supervisor shall assure that behavior and noise levels are consistent <br />with District policy #8240 Student Conduct and Discipline on Buses and Student <br />Conduct and Discipline on Buses Procedure #8240P1, and Bus Safety Rules <br />#8240P2. <br />3. The building principal in conjunction with the Transportation Manager shall assure <br />that all students, staff members, and /or chaperones receive training regarding bus <br />rules. <br />4.
