SCHOOL FACILITIES <br />9395 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />ENERGY CONSERVATION AND BUILDING MANAGEMENT <br />The Board believes that it is the District's responsibility to ensure that every reasonable <br />effort is made to conserve energy and natural resources while exercising sound <br />financial management. Therefore, the Board directs the Superintendent /designee to <br />develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive District -wide energy management <br />plan that includes short and long -range strategies to maximize energy conservation. <br />Guidelines <br />Energy Management <br />The designated administrator /supervisor /designee shall be accountable for energy <br />management at his /her building. <br />2. Energy audits shall be conducted by the Energy Educator /Manager teams and <br />feedback provided. <br />3. The energy conservation and management program shall be administered primarily <br />through the Energy Educator /Manger teams and administrators/ supervisors/ <br />designees. <br />4. All staff and students while occupying District facilities shall make a positive <br />contribution to maximize energy conservation and produce real energy savings. <br />5. The District Director of Operations shall review and adhere to the preventive <br />maintenance and monitoring plan for each facility including HVAC, building <br />envelope, and moisture management systems. <br />Records <br />Accurate records of energy consumption and cost will be maintained at each District <br />facility. <br />2.
