STUDENTS <br />3275P <br />(also 5335P) <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS PROCEDURES <br />Software on Personal Wireless Devices <br />1. Software residing on personal wireless devices must be personally owned. <br />2. Current virus protection software must be loaded along with the latest security <br />patches for the device's operating system. <br />3. The device must be free of spyware, adware, worms, viruses, Trojan horses, and <br />peer to peer software that could disrupt the network. <br />Use of District Wireless Connections <br />1. Parents /guardians shall be provided the opportunity to grant or deny their child(ren) <br />access to the District's wireless connections (see Wireless Internet Use Agreement <br />Form #3275, #5335F). <br />2. Teachers have the right to restrict student's use of wireless devices while in their <br />classroom or in other areas of the school when students are under their supervision. <br />3. Students or employees: <br />a. may be assigned individual accounts, usernames, and passwords. <br />b. shall not lend or borrow usernames, passwords, or account access. <br />c. must use the District provided wireless connection that is filtered pursuant to the <br />Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requirements when using their personal <br />devices at school. <br />d. shall not use non - District wireless service providers while on District property. <br />4. Personal wireless devices are only authorized for wireless connectivity and shall not <br />be plugged into the wired network. <br />5. All activity on wireless connections should be for educational purposes only. <br />a. Classroom teachers will establish standards for personal wireless devices in their <br />respective classrooms. <br />b. Students shall not be allowed to access the wireless network unless supervised <br />by a teacher or a staff member. <br />Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 <br />
