Property Appraisal – Roger Hill presented appraisals which have been completed on <br />property for possible future school sites: <br />o First appraisal for approximately 20 acres owned by Jay Johnson. Located on the <br />northeast corner of Ammon and Township Roads came in at $15,000 per acre. <br />o Second appraisal for approximately 12 acres owned by Keith Hansen. Located on 21st <br />Street and borders the west side of the Cottages subdivision came in at $17,000 per <br />acre. <br />o Third appraisal for approximately 3 acres owned by Eagle Farms Properties, LLC. <br />Located just north of Cloverdale Elementary School came in at $17,000 per acre. <br /> <br />4. Estimated Bid Schedule for Building Projects – Roger Hill presented a construction <br />timeline that was provided by LKV which they felt like they can adhere to. They did <br />mention that the Hillcrest Performing Arts Center Addition may take longer because <br />some dates fall on a holiday. <br /> <br />Chairman Lords would like to see them go a week or two earlier on Hillcrest. The Bid <br />date, Construction start and Completion date are great, my concern is – four months to <br />build and addition; make sure we are not creating a monster. Time frame a potential <br />overload, like to slow down the FV addition; Sports complex will be last. I have <br />instructed Mike not to purchase property until we know what the auditorium and gym <br />will be. I would like the Superintendent to have an update for the Board at each Work <br />Session. <br /> <br />Board Member Haws asks Mr. Sorenson how the bond market looks. <br />Mike, the Superintendent and Chairman meet with Attorney and Underwriter and things <br />look good and stable. We are in a good position to sell them on Tuesday and <br />acknowledged Chairman Lords for his wealth of knowledge and strength at our meeting. <br /> <br />Chairman Lords thanks Roger Hill for all his efforts. <br /> <br />MOTION: Randy Haws made the motion to accept the consent calendar and agenda as <br />amended. White Pine Charter School Update – Anita Ogden presented an updated and completed audit as <br />requested by Chairman Lords at the December 8 Board meeting. <br />
