VIII.PublicInput Policy#1550 -PublicInputwillprovideanopportunityforanyBoardMember,administrator,staff member,studentorpatron toraiseissuesofinterest.TheBoardwillreceivesuchinputwithoutcomment,excepttoaskgermanequestionsofthose speaking.Commentsshouldbelimitedto3minutes.TheBoardwilltakenoactionrelativetoanyitemsduringthemeeting, butmaydirecttheSuperintendenttoconsidersuchanitematasubsequentmeeting. AmyKurts -concerned patrononthedistrict’sproposedboundarychangewouldliketoseemore continuity,don’tmove samekidsoverandover. BoardMember Wendy Hormanreadsanemailshereceivedfromaconcernedpatrononthedistrict’sproposedboundary change thatvoicesthesameconcernsasthosewhospoketonight. IX.NewBusiness 1.ISTARSResolution –chairmanLords readsanemailfromMrs.JenkinsstatingthattheteachersunioninDistrict93 doesnotsupportISTARS. Secondedby KipNelson.Allinfavor.Motionpassed. 4.IntermountainDemographics –EnrollmentForecast –RogerHilldiscusseddraftstudyonwhattheywilldo: a.Preparingtotaldistrictstudentenrollmentforecastsbygradeforthefallof 2008,09,10,11,12and2018. b.Recommendationsforfutureschoolsitesbasedonfieldworkinthedistrict c.Finalproductwillbesubmittedtodistrictandwillincludeapurposeandoverviewstatement,andexecutive summary,backgroundinformation,annualenrollmentforecastsbygradeandrecommendationsforfuture schoolsites.
