Seconded by Wendy <br />Horman. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />VI. Old Business <br />1. Construction Financial Update – Mike Sorenson reported that the two new elementary schools would be <br />completed June 22. Hillview will be completed March 2008. <br />2. 2009-10 Calendar – Marjean McConnell and Valerie Messick presented feedback and survey results <br />recommending final approval. <br />MOTION: Wendy Horman made the motion to accept the 2009-2010 school year calendar. Seconded by <br />Annette Winchester. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> <br />VII. Public Input <br />Policy # 1550 - Public Input will provide an opportunity for any Board Member, administrator, staff member, student or <br />patron to raise issues of interest. The Board will receive such input without comment, except to ask germane <br />questions of those speaking. Comments should be limited to 3 minutes. The Board will take no action relative to any <br />items during the meeting, but may direct the Superintendent to consider such an item at a subsequent meeting. <br /> <br /> Beverly Fox – Pay for performance for teachers <br />Sherene Youngberg – Discussed submitted petition on Boundary changes and wants a 5 year guaranteed final <br />decision to future changes. <br /> Brian Armes – Concerned about 607 students projected to be in Falls Valley for next year. <br />Douglas Brackett – Concerned about Strep throat at Falls Valley – wants school shut down and Health Department <br />advised when a disease is known. <br />Renae Cook – wants autism classroom expanded – feels district is not doing enough to help these students and would <br />like the district to require Special Services to develop guidelines also providing funds for those guidelines. <br />JoslynThompson – Concerned about deterioration of classrooms at Hillview and disappointed about building <br />structure. <br /> <br />VIII. New Business <br />1. Recognition – Chairman Lords <br />a. Linda Rasmussen – Transportation <br />b. Erika Morris – Transportation <br />The Board and Transportation Supervisor Karen Judy presented these individuals with a small token of recognition for <br />their assistance in an accident that occurred December 21, 2007 on the Ririe Highway. <br /> <br />2. Proposed Elementary Boundary Changes – Chairman Lords <br />MOTION: Annette Winchester made the motion to approve the proposed elementary boundary changes. <br />Seconded by Wendy Horman. All in favor. Motion passed. <br />
