MOTION:Craig Lordsmadethemotiontoaccept MountainValley asthenameforthenewelementary school,secondedbyWendyHorman.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 3.PlantFacilityLevyElectionResolution –MikeSorenson presentedandread aresolutionforaMay18 Plant FacilityLevyElection. MOTION:KipNelson madethemotiontoadoptthePlant FacilityResolutionaspresented,seconded by AnnetteWinchester.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 4.PianoandComputerPrintersSurplus –RogerHill recommendsthe pianoandcomputerprintersbedeemed surplusandthepropertybesoldordonatedinthemostcost -effectiveandexpedientmanner. MOTION:Wendy HormanmadethemotiontoacceptthesurplussaleoftheDriversEd.rangecars, secondedbyKipNelson.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 6.ProposedPoliciesfor30-day Review –Dr.Robertsrequested totablethe 2010-11schoolyear calendar. 2011-12SchoolYearCalendar MOTION Chairman Lordsmadethemotion totable the2010-11schoolyearcalendar,secondedby AnnetteWinchester.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 7.2010 –11StateFunding –SuperintendentShackett/Mike Sorenson -JFACmeetandsetanappropriationforthe state ofIdahoandthe bill is goingto theSenateandif it passesitgoestoHousethenGovernor.Reductionof about8%-include14!%discretionary/reducetransport.,by3%;supplieseliminated.WhatthismeansforDistrict 93,ifwe leaveenrollmentthesameandunitsthesameitisadecreaseof$4million.Thereare twobigitemswe don’tknowisBlue CrossInsuranceand thecostofopeningthenewelementaryschool.Hopefullyadecisionwill bemadewithintwoweeks.Wecananticipatea $4millionreductionandwedohave a fundbalancewecanuse forpurposeslikethis.Bill outofJFACisthattheywill holdschoolsharmlessthisyear. SuperintendentShackett –feelwehavesomegoodideastogetusthroughthenexttwoyearsandrecommends aworksession nextweekwiththeBoard.
