VII.PublicInput Policy#1550 -PublicInputwillprovideanopportunityforanyBoardMember,administrator,staff member,studentorpatrontoraiseissuesofinterest.TheBoardwillreceivesuchinputwithout comment,excepttoaskgermanequestionsofthosespeaking.Commentsshouldbelimitedto3 minutes.TheBoardwilltakenoactionrelativetoanyitemsduringthemeeting,butmaydirectthe Superintendenttoconsidersuchanitematasubsequentmeeting. The schoolindicated the nonrenewal ofhiscontract –the error hereisthatheisaCategoryThree whichis notappropriatetoterminate. VIII.OldBusiness 1.ConstructionandFinancialUpdate –MikeSorenson/RogerHill a.SecondBond –attheendofApril therewas$325,000 left,sincethen,hasbeenland chargedand weencumbered outdoorcostandbroughtdownto50k. b.2009Bond –$11.6millionleft,largecostfornewschoolandtechnology center;and concessionupdate –comingalongandwillbereadyforthefall. IX.NewBusiness 1.StudentRecognition BHSDebate 2.EmployeeRecognition –DarlaGrebb,FoodServiceCatering 3.EnergyEducation –EdGraff presentedaplaqueand congratulatedthedistrictonthesuccess oftheprogramandarehonoredtobeactivepartnersinthiseffort. 4.DrugTesting -AndreaHanson andBYU-IStudents,presented information andbrochureona DrugTestingpolicyalso volunteering anyservice thedistrictmayneed toproceed. ChairmanLords recommendsa worksessionforfurtherdiscussion. 5.CodeofStudentConduct -DeputySuperintendent,Dr.BruceRoberts presented a newform and documentsalongwithalistof22parentswhohavethisintheir handsforfeedbackand are helping uswithitandIwillpresentfinalinformationatthenextmeeting. 6.Calendar -DeputySuperintendent,Dr.BruceRoberts presentedinformationonthe2010-11 schoolyearcalendarrequestingapproval. Motion:Wendy Horman madethemotionto accept approval the 2010-2011 calendar, secondedby Kip Nelson.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 7.BondDefeasance –MikeSorenson presentedinformationontheDefeasanceofthe 2005 BondsrequestingtheBoard to adoptthe readresolution.
