Trip Request <br /> Hillcrest Debate Debate Tournament December 3-5, 2009 Alta High School, Salt Lake City, UT <br /> Hillcrest Debate Debate Tournament December 4-6, 2009 Carroll College, Helena, Montana <br /> <br />Board Member Nelson requested to pull item IV G – Trip Request from the consent calendar and place it under item VII. New <br />Business for further discussion. <br /> <br />Motion: Annette Winchester made the motion to accept the consent calendar as amended, seconded by Kip Nelson. <br />All in favor, motion passed. <br /> <br />VII. Public Input <br />Policy # 1550 - Public Input will provide an opportunity for any Board Member, administrator, staff member, student or patron <br />to raise issues of interest. The Board will receive such input without comment, except to ask germane questions of those <br />speaking. Comments should be limited to 3 minutes. The Board will take no action relative to any items during the meeting, <br />but may direct the Superintendent to consider such an item at a subsequent meeting. <br /> <br />Lyndon Oswald SMS Principal – presented information on the Dragon Fitness Program being offered which hits fours areas <br />of wellness also inviting the Board to join in on the program. <br /> <br />VIII. Old Business <br />1. Construction Financial Update – Roger Hill elementary informs the Board that we are in good shape as schedule goes <br />on; Technology Center – currently working the east side; Auto Shops – working on conduit and piping then moving to <br />wires in next couple of weeks. <br />2. Boundaries – due to the overcrowding and building of new elementary school, Marjean McConnell presented <br />information on the proposed boundaries informing everyone that Public Hearings are scheduled for December 2, <br />7:00pm, SMS Cafeteria and December 9, 6:30p.m. in the district office boardroom. The proposed boundaries will be <br />posted on the districts website. Goal is to have everyone inside the buildings. <br />3. All in favor, motion passed. <br /> <br />IX. New Business <br />1. 2010 - 2011 Calendar Survey Update – Dr. Roberts informed the Board that 835 patrons, students and staff participated <br />in the online survey with the parents having the highest rate of input-there was very few times all the groups were in <br />favor of Calendar Option 1. Dr. Roberts would like feedback from the Board in the next couple of weeks also, requesting <br />a 30-day review within the buildings in our district and posting on the districts website. <br />Motion: Annette Winchester made the motion to accept the 2010-11 calendar for 30-day review within the <br />buildings in our district and posting on the districts website, seconded by Wendy Horman. All in favor, motion <br />passed. <br />
