Annette,2700MartinCourt –againstincrease,parentscan’tafford$125.00persport.. ChairmanLords callsfor moreindividualsspeakingonfeeincreasetostepforward.Seeingandhearingnone, ChairmanLords closes thefloor. BoardmemberHormanannouncesthatshe receivedinformationbyemailwithconcernsonthe$125.00 increase statingthatshewillforwardthemontotheBoardproposing $100.00 forhighschoolsportsandhighschoolcheer thisdoesnotincludemiddleschool sports. Motion:WendyHormanmadethemotiontoincreasehighschoolsportsandhighschoolcheerto$100.00 ratherthattheproposed$125.00increase,secondedbyAnnetteWinchester.Allinfavor,3 yeas,1nay, and1abstention.Motion passesbya3-1vote. Motion:AnnetteWinchestermadethemotiontoaccepttheproposedfeeincreaseforBHSYearbook, ElementaryRegistration,IdahoDigitalLearningAcademy,andallthreeFacilityRentals,seconded byKip Nelson.Allinfavor,motionpassed. Motion:KipNelsonmadethemotiontoreducetheproposed$50.00PaytoParticipatemiddleschoolfee to$30.00,secondedbyWendyHorman.Allinfavor,3yeas,1nay,and1abstention,motionpassesbya 3-1vote. ChairmanLords –the Board is interestedintakingfeesuggestions,creativity,andencourages staffand communitytohelp.Wewillcontinuetotaskyourstaff.Thiswillbeanitemoneachworksession agenda to discusspotentialcuts/savingssowedon’tcomeupshortagain.ChairmanLordstasksthe Superintendenttowork withtheSDE,ISBA,andIASA togetourclassroomsback. 7.TestingUpdate –presentationhasbeentabledforalaterdate. 8.eCenterandHighSchoolNovaNetReport –SuperintendentShackett,needtoexpandtheNovaNet programinto thehighschoolstohelpifastudentisfailing toearnthatcredit.Inordertohavetheopportunityweneedto purchase50 morelicensestotaling$134,831that fitsintothesurplusmoneyfromthebond.NovaNetalsocomes withACTpreparationprogramswhichcanbe offeredata zero orninthhour.Theremaybeacostinpurchasing thehardwareupgradetothehighschoolsandadditionalcomputers.HHSjustneedstheupgrade,butBHSwill needadditionalcomputers.
