Amy Landers seconded. The roll call vote was: Jeff Bird yes Kip Nelson yes Amy Landers yes Annette Winchester yes Brian McBride yes | smn|vvoo|ssue Chairperson Winchester opened the discussion regarding a District employee. Dr. French stated that the JRAG Evaluation had been completed over the last three years. This year |t indicated that the teacher was rated ao minimally effective. We want teachers tob*in the effective range but that doesn't mean the employee didn't pass the evaluation. When asked who performs the evaluation, the response was that the principal does the evaluation along with the assistants. They all have been trained to know what to look for. We do validity checking if there is an outlier score. The employee is enrolled in classes to obtain Idaho certification and has until August to complete the required classes. There was concern that the employee may not complete certification requirements. If that is the case the employee will no longer be teaching for the District. There was discussion regarding a possible position offer and the salary that will be offered. That is not set and could ho modified ao required by the Board. There was discussion regarding whether the Board was in support of the position and the concept. There were seven people who applied, five were interviewed and two were selected as finalists. The job was offered to both candidates but one person accepted another position. |fan individual ie doing something wrong they will befired. We will discuss the position ino work session mApril. x. Purchase nf Real Pmnenv— Roger Hill Chairperson Winchester asked Mr. Hill to discuss the proposed property purchase with the Board. Mr, Hill stated that the individual was willing to make a trade with the District but is now not willing to make that trade. Mr. Hill asked for any directive the Board would like mgive. We made a good faith effort and will keep trying. We have enough entrances arid exits without the additional land, There was some discussion regarding property value near the proposed high school. U|. Move Back into OnenMeoUnq Chairperson Winchester asked for a motion w move back into Open Meeting ato4spm. MOTION: Kip Nelson made the motion m move back into open session. Jeff Bird seconded. The vote was oin favor with o opposed and 8 abstentions Motion passed, Mr. McBride is concerned that he isn't on the same page with the District, He has concerns about the turf question and wants m talk about it. We need better communication so we make sure we can stand firm with the administration. There was discussion regarding whether we should do the new school right and whether we should include turf. It is looking like putting turf on Thunder Stadium io the best thing /odo.
