The Executive Session will be closed to the public as <br />permitted by law. <br /> <br />Chairperson Winchester asked for a motion to move into executive session at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to move into executive session for the reasons stated. Jeff Bird seconded. The roll call <br />vote was: <br /> <br /> Jeff Bird - yes <br /> Kip Nelson Yes <br /> Brian McBride Yes <br /> Amy Landers Yes <br /> Annette Winchester Yes <br /> <br />I. Personnel Items - Shalene French <br />Chairperson Winchester asked Dr. French to discuss personnel items with the Board. Dr. French stated that she is <br />recommending a teacher, A15, be placed on probation because of lack of classroom management. The individual will be given <br />eight (8) weeks to show improvement. There will be three (3) different meetings with the teacher during that time. The <br />individual will be allowed an advocate during these meetings and a remediation plan will be developed and monitored. If the <br />teacher improves, the District will offer the individual a contract for next year. If there is not enough improvement, we won’t <br />offer a contract. <br /> <br />II. Property Acquisition – Roger Hill <br />Chairperson Winchester asked Mr. Hill to discuss possible property acquisition with the Board. Mr. Hill stated that he is working <br />on getting the land discussed at the last work session appraised. The owners have not got an appraisal as of yet. Rockwell <br />offered the amount the amount of the earlier appraisal. The owners didn’t accept that offer. A developer wants to develop the <br />property on the south end and would need to put a sewer line across the property in question. Mr. Hill was directed to get an <br />appraisal on the 27 acres. The owners haven’t asked for a price yet. In response to a question regarding what we can build on <br />27 acres. The response was an elementary and possibly sell building lots. The owners are actively looking to sell. <br /> <br />III. Move Back into Open Meeting <br />Chairperson Winchester asked for a motion to move back into open meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to move back into open meeting. Kip Nelson seconded. The vote was 5 in favor, 0 <br />opposed, and 0 abstentions. The motion was carried. <br /> <br />Chairperson Winchester then asked if there were any motions from executive session. <br /> <br />MOTION: Brian McBride made the motion.to place teacher A15 on probation. Amy Landers seconded. The vote was 5 in favor, 0 <br />opposed, and 0 abstentions. The motion was carried. <br /> <br />IV.
