Shackett, Superintendent Marjean McConnell, Deputy Superintendent 3497 North Ammon Road, Idaho Falls, Idaho, 83401  (208) 525-4400  Fax (208) 529-0104  www.d93schools.org Board of Trustees  Annette Winchester  Kip Nelson  Amy Landers  Brian McBride  Jeff Bird Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 is an Equal Opportunity Employer Executive Session March 11, 2015 After the Regular Meeting Chairperson Winchester stated that the Board will enter into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code Section 67-2345 (1)(b) To consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, em ployee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student and Idaho Code Section 67-2345 (1)(c) To consider deliberations to acquire an interest in real property which is not owned by a public agency. The Executive Session will be closed to the public as permitted by law. Chairperson Winchester asked for a motion to move into executive session at 8:25 p.m. MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to move into executive session for the reasons stated. Jeff Bird seconded. The roll call vote was: Jeff Bird - yes Kip Nelson Yes Brian McBride Yes Amy Landers Yes Annette Winchester Yes I. Personnel Items - Shalene French Chairperson Winchester asked Dr. French to discuss personnel items with the Board. Dr. French stated that she is recommending a teacher, A15, be placed on probation because of lack of classroom management. The individual will be given eight (8) weeks to show improvement. There will be three (3) different meetings with the teacher during that time. The individual will be allowed an advocate during these meetings and a remediation plan will be developed and monitored. If the teacher improves, the District will offer the individual a contract for next year. If there is not enough improvement, we won’t offer a contract. II. Property Acquisition – Roger Hill Chairperson Winchester asked Mr. Hill to discuss possible property acquisition with the Board. Mr. Hill stated that he is working on getting the land discussed at the last work session appraised. The owners have not got an appraisal as of yet. Rockwell offered the amount the amount of the earlier appraisal. The owners didn’t accept that offer. A developer wants to develop the property on the south end and would need to put a sewer line across the property in question. Mr. Hill was directed to get an appraisal on the 27 acres. The owners haven’t asked for a price yet. In response to a question regarding what we can build on 27 acres. The response was an elementary and possibly sell building lots. The owners are actively looking to sell. III. Move Back into Open Meeting Chairperson Winchester asked for a motion to move back into open meeting. MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to move back into open meeting. Kip Nelson seconded. The vote was 5 in favor, 0 opposed, and 0 abstentions. The motion was carried. Chairperson Winchester then asked if there were any motions from executive session. MOTION: Brian McBride made the motion.to place teacher A15 on probation. Amy Landers seconded. The vote was 5 in favor, 0 opposed, and 0 abstentions. The motion was carried. IV.
