Bonneville Joint School District No. 93
POLICY REVIEW AND EVALUATION
The Bonneville Joint School District No. 93 Board of Trustees shall review
approximately one-fifth (20%) of the policy manual annually in an effort to keep its
written policies up-to-date so they can be used consistently as a basis for Board action
and administrative decision.
1. Guidelines
a. In accordance with State Board of Education rule, all policies and
procedures addressing the following topics shall be reviewed as an
ongoing process.
i. School climate
ii. Discipline
iii. Student health
iv. Violence prevention
v. Weapon-free schools
vi. Substance abuse-tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs
vii. Drug-free school zones
viii. Suicide prevention
ix. Student harassment
x. Building safety including evacuation drills
b. The Board shall evaluate the execution of its policies by the staff.
c. The Board shall rely on the staff, students, and community to provide
evidence of the effect of its adopted policies and consider the results
during the review process.
d. A notation of the date of review shall be made at the end of each policy.
e. If changes are made as a result of the review, the date of revision shall
also be noted at the end of the policy.
f. Any changes made solely to correct a typographical error, correct a
change in document name or number, to add or correct references or
previously approved changes to definitions will not constitute a full revision
and will be noted as a correction instead of an revision.

g. Policies that are out of date or for other reasons appear to need revision
shall be identified to the Board by the Superintendent/designee.
