INSTRUCTION <br />2000 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />(2) Mastery of the fundamental processes of mathematics and the ability to <br />handle the necessary individual transactions required in the everyday <br />business world; and <br />(3) State, National and international understanding of History, Geography, <br />Civics and the Fine Arts; <br />c. To provide testing and evaluation programs to determine measurable progress <br />of students and effectiveness of teaching; <br />d. To provide courses designed to challenge and fit the needs for vocational and <br />academic pursuits following the completion of the 12th grade; <br />e. To provide courses in domestic skills, consumer economics and education; <br />To provide programs that prepare all students with special needs for purposeful, <br />productive lives, including: <br />(1) Full compliance with P.L. 94 -142, The Education for All Handicapped <br />Children Act; <br />(2) Special services for all exceptional students; <br />(3) Professional and supportive services for the emotionally impaired; and <br />(4) Supportive programs for parents of the exceptional child to help them <br />understand their unique needs. <br />4. Counseling and Social Service Objectives <br />a. To provide adequate counselors at the secondary school level (7 -12) to aid the <br />students in the selection of courses of study to meet their current and post <br />graduation needs; <br />b. To provide ancillary staff assigned to all schools for the purpose of early <br />diagnosis and treatment of social, emotional and behavioral problems; <br />c. To provide parent counseling and support programs for patrons desiring such <br />services; <br />5. Student Relations and Activities Objectives <br />a. To encourage high personal standards of conduct among students and between <br />schools; <br />b.
