Thenewelementaryschools shouldbeonlineJuly17.Computertablesandwalloutletsareachangeorderand could changethecontract deadline.ThecityofAmmonhasdoneapreliminarywalkthrough.Furniture is scheduledto bemovedinonMonday.Ribboncutting ceremonieswillbescheduled thefirstweekofschool. Steelandaluminum arehereforThunderStadium bleachersandworkshouldbeginsoon.Thegymat BHS shouldbefinishedbythe endof July.Weareinthefinalstages oftheremodelatHillview.HHS theyare hauling dirtandcontinuingtowork.Someofthesprinklersystemsneednew headsthatare madetouseirrigationwater. Wehavefoundawaytoworkaroundtheproblemandshouldhavegoodgrassbythetimeschoolstarts.The headsshouldbereplacedbynextyear. VII.PublicInput Policy#1550 -PublicInputwillprovideanopportunityforanyBoardMember,administrator,staffmember,studentor patrontoraiseissuesofinterest.TheBoardwillreceivesuchinputwithoutcomment,excepttoaskgermane questionsofthosespeaking.Commentsshouldbelimitedto3minutes.TheBoardwilltakenoactionrelativetoany itemsduringthemeeting,butmaydirecttheSuperintendenttoconsidersuchanitematasubsequentmeeting. MOTION:Wendy Horman madethemotiontoacceptthe2008-09AnnualMeetingSchedule.Secondedby Annette Winchester.Allinfavor.Motionpassed. 4.ProfessionalTechnicalUpdate –CraigMiller January –conversationwith ITEC tobuildPTEcenterontheircampus.Possiblejointbondingandlevies witha consortiumofschoolsintheareawasdiscussed.AformalproposalforStateBoard wasreadytopresent.But,the PresidentofITECresignedsotheproposalisonhold.D91 isholdinga bond election inspring andhasnotincluded theproposalintheirrequest.ThePTE Buildingmaynotbeareality.D93couldnotbond forthebuilding byitself.PTE academieswithintheHighschoolsmaybeanalternative waytooffertheneededinstruction.Enrollmentnumbers usually dropinthespring.Thisyear,only18%dropped. TheBoardshoulddiscuss whetherthereisinterestinpursuingthecharteravenue duringaworksession.Mr.Miller hasworkedinoneofthese schoolsandcouldhelp withtheprosandcons.
