TaraInglinski,351-5886 –Concernedaboutthenewheating requirements in theschoolsespeciallyatUconandRMMS.Main concern-fortwodays thisweektheboilersat RMMS weredown,why?Talkedwithafew teachers andthey say the classroomsarenotheatingupuntil3rd or4th hour. BoardChairman –refersMrs.Inglinski’sissuetotheSuperintendenttoputherincontactwiththecorrectindividualsregardingherconcerns. VII.OldBusiness 1.ConstructionandFinancialUpdate –Roger Hillreportedthatthenewelementarythe blockwalls arecompletedandtheyareintheprocessof framing in thewoodwalls.Trusses intheroofsectionwillbe goingin byJanuary.TechnologyCenter -closedinandworkingonheatingand ventilation;AutoShops –bothadditions driedin,heating area withasmallheaterwhile workingonthe pipingand conduit.Allprojectsseemto beontime. 2.BoundaryConsiderations –ChairmanLords announcesthattherearetwo motions thatcanbemaderegardingthisissue.Motion oneis to consider the boundarychange or motiontwoistotablethisissueuntiltheJanuaryregularBoardmeeting. Motion:AnnetteWinchestermadethemotiontoacceptBoundaryOption#4,secondedbyKipNelson.BoardMemberHuntamends themotion movingtherequestedtrianglebacktoIonaasisinthecurrentboundary.AnnetteWinchestermadethemotiontoaccept theamendmenttoOption#4,secondedbyKipNelson.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 3.2010 -2011Calendar –Dr.Roberts presentedthisfor30-dayreviewintheNovembermeetingand isrequestingfinalapproval. Motion:ChairmanLordsmakesamotion toapprovethe2010-11calendarallowingtheadministrationtomakechanges and recognizethetremendouswork putintothemakingofthecalendar.BoardmemberNelsonamendsthemotiontopushthestartdate back aweekto August 24andtakethree (December20,21,and22)days offtheChristmasvacation andallowing theadministration tomakechanges.SecondedbyWendyHorman,allinfavor,4yeasand1 nay.Motionpassedbya4-1vote. VIII.NewBusiness 1.ProposedPoliciesfor30-dayreview –MarjeanMcConnell presentedthesepoliciesforBoardreviewonlyintheNovemberBoardmeeting,if approved;thesepolicieswillbeplacedonthedistrictsweb pageandinschoolsfor30-dayreview. a.2640MiddleSchoolCredit b.2640PMiddleSchoolCreditProcedures c.2640EMiddleSchoolInterventions MOTION:Annette Winchestermadethemotiontoacceptpoliciesfor30-dayreviewwithinthebuildingsinourdistrictandposting onthedistrict’swebsite,secondedbyKip Nelson.Allinfavor,motionpassed. 2.NamingofLearningCenter –Dr.Shackett reportsthatthedistrictslearningcenter willbeanonlineschoolprovidingteachersandteacher aidesintheclassroomusingNovaNetasthecurriculum.This will createasmanyoptionsforpatronsandstudentsoutsideoftheschool system servingsoutheastIdaho torecapturecreditforthosewhohavedroppedout andwanttoreceiveadiploma.Hourswouldbefrom 7:00a.m.-7:000p.m.providingchildcare.Recommendingthetopvotefornamingthenewlearningcenterasthe:DistrictNo.93eCenter.
