Executive Session of the Board of Trustees
March 8, 2017
8:30 PM
District Office to be held after the 7:00p.m. Regular Meeting
I. Executive Session
A. Chairman Jeff Bird stated that the Board will enter into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code Section
74-206(1)(b)To consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought
against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student. The Executive
Session will be closed to the public as permitted by law.
The Board reconvened into Executive Session at 8:45 p.m.
MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to enter into executive session for the reason stated. Greg Calder
seconded. The roll call vote was:

III. Personnel Item
Chairman Bird turned the meeting over to Scott Woolstenhulme to explain employee concerns.
A. Employee G2017 has asked to be released from this year's teaching contract effective May 1, 2017. A
replacement teacher has been selected to fill the open contract.
Discussion from 8:48 p.m. to 8:50 p.m.
B. Employee H2O17, a part-time employee, does not meet FMLA guidelines. It is recommended that the Board
approve Leave Without Pay for H2O17 for family medical reasons.
Discussion from 8:50 p.m. to 8:52 p.m.
C. Employee 12017 was marked as not effective in last year's evaluation and has not shown improvement in the
current year. Itis recommended that 12017 is put on probation.
Discussion from 8:52 p,m. to 9:07 p.m.
D. Employee J2017 is guardian of an extended family member with special needs and is requesting leave
without pay to care for them.

IV. Move Back into Open Session
Chairman Bird asked for a motion to move back into Open Meeting at 9:11 p.m.
MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to move back into open session. Greg Calder seconded. The vote was
5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
V. Motion from Executive Session
A, Employee G2017 Decision
MOTION: Greg Calder made the motion release G2017 from their contract starting on May 1, 2017.

B. Employee H2O17 Decision
MOTION: Amy Landers made the motion to approve leave without pay for H2O17 as requested.
Greg Calder seconded. The vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
C. Employee 12017 Decision
MOTION: Paul Jenkins made the motion to place employee 12017 on probation. Chad Dance seconded.
The vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
D. Employee J2016 Decision
MOTION: Chad Dance made the motion to grant leave without pay for J2017.
Greg Calder seconded. The vote was 5 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
VI. Adioumment
Chairman Bird Asked for a motion to adjourn at 9:13 p.m.
MOTION: Greg Calder made the motion to adjourn. Amy Landers seconded. The vote was 5 in favor with 0
opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
